About

Cole Greenwalt | Kentucky Country & Americana Artist

Kentucky Roots. Nashville Grit. Honest Songs.

Cole Greenwalt is a Nashville-based country and Americana singer-songwriter from Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Raised in a family of songwriters, Cole grew up around country music, storytelling, and the same Western Kentucky roots that produced artists like John Prine and the Everly Brothers. His father, Troy Greenwalt, and uncle, Scott Greenwalt, are both songwriters and frequent collaborators.

After earning a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Kentucky, Cole moved to Nashville to pursue music full time. His sound blends traditional country storytelling with Americana, Southern rock, and modern country. His band jokingly calls it “Brother Country”—too Americana for mainstream country and too country for the Americana purists.

Cole’s songs focus on working-class life, family, heartbreak, small-town Kentucky, and the highs and lows of everyday life. Releases including “For No One,” “More Like 32,” “Alcoholic,” and “Light It Up” have helped build a growing audience, with “Alcoholic” becoming his biggest streaming release to date.

Beyond his own music, Cole is the co-founder and host of Neon Outpost, a Nashville songwriter series that showcases rising country and Americana artists. He has also shared stages with artists including Jon Wayne Hatfield, Chase McDaniel, George William Thomas, Hunter Flynn, and Kelsey Hart.

Whether performing solo acoustic or with a full band, Cole Greenwalt’s goal is simple: make honest country music rooted in Kentucky storytelling while bringing the energy of today’s Americana and country scene.
